Police in Australia matched blood taken from an engorged leech found at a robbery scene to a suspect.

The leech was found shortly after officers arrived the rural property in Tasmania, whose elderly resident had been robbed.

The leech was dissected, and the blood was found to match that of Peter Alec Cannon, who had been arrested and charged with drug offenses. Mr. Cannon has now been charged with the robbery.

Mr. Cannon says it's own fault that he was caught, because he realized years ago that Hugo ran like shit.
