COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Scandal-plagued South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford has left his official residence in the state capital to spend the holiday weekend with his wife and children at Florida's Disney World.

Governor Sanford says he's looking forward to seeing the fireworks, meeting the costumed characters, and riding the Carousel of Prostitutes.
