A police force is fitting its patrol cars with electronic sensors because their officers are so bad at parking.

The South Yorkshire Police has decided that every new vehicle will be fitted with a device that beeps when the driver approaches an obstacle. The force spends an average of $100,000 a year mending cars that were damaged while parking.

Okay, it sounds bad, but according to official police reports, the poles and parking meters always hit them first.
