I highly recommend Japan to anybody who's ever felt short. There weren't four people in the whole country who reached shoulder-level height on me.
I also recommend Japan to New Yorkers. After spending a few nights in their cramped hotel rooms, your apartment looks positively enormous in comparison.
While you're there, I suggest visiting an onsen -- a traditional Japanese bath -- but that's on a totally different train of thought.

i think i would LOVE LOVE LOVE an onsen.
Oh thank god you're back. We were getting desperate.
PEOPLE, Can I have your ATTENTION? Call off the DOGS, he's made contact!
Thank god you're back and not a moment too soon either, that's for sure. We've missed you desperately and frankly things have gone to hell in your absense, you really could not have picked a worse time to be away in fact, but don't feel guilty about that or anything, and by the way whatever you do don't try that swirl-your-face thing, it SO doesn't work, plus those kids in that Thai village will totally turn you in, and don't think they won't.
I kind of felt a little pathetic last night when I realized that tomorrow was Nov 7th and you would be back, and obviously got ridiculously giddy over the possibility of a new post. Then I come here and see other people just as excited, and feel just THAT much better about myself.
Speaking of feeling better about myself, will going to Japan help me feel better about being 5'4? Or is that just beyond fixing?
Anyway, glad to hear you had a good trip.
I'd totally love to go to Japan, except that would require, like, effort and planning. I'm glad you had a good time, hope you write bunches about it.
